Applicable Occasions of Industrial Engineering Tires
03.07.2025

Due to their special design and structure, industrial engineering tires are widely applicable. They not only provide the necessary support and mobility for heavy machinery and industrial vehicles, but also ensure the stability and reliability of these equipment in harsh working environments. When choosing industrial engineering tires, it is necessary to choose the appropriate tire type and specifications according to the specific application scenarios and needs.

1. Engineering machinery

Industrial engineering tires are widely used in various types of engineering machinery such as loaders, bulldozers, excavators, land levelers, rollers, stone operation machines, etc. These tires can withstand the huge force and impact generated by engineering machinery during operation, ensuring the stability and operation efficiency of the machinery. For example: roller tires need to meet the operating characteristics of rolling semi-sticky sand and asphalt, requiring high temperature resistance, oil resistance and good self-cleaning properties, as well as wear resistance, puncture resistance and high load. Scraper tires are required to have a strong carcass structure and good traction.

2. Mining equipment

In the mining environment, industrial engineering tires are an important part of heavy equipment such as mine trucks and mining dump trucks. They need to have wear resistance, cut resistance, puncture resistance and other characteristics to cope with harsh mine roads and complex working environments. Tires are one of the key consumables of mine transportation vehicles. For the vehicle operating costs in large open-pit mines, tire consumption costs account for about 24%.

3. Special rail vehicles

Although trains in the traditional sense do not use tires (but rails and wheels), some special types of trains or rail vehicles may use tire-like components, such as rubber cushion tires, to provide additional shock absorption and cushioning effects.

4. Industrial handling equipment

Forklifts are common handling equipment in the industrial field, and their tires are mostly pneumatic tires or solid tires. Industrial engineering tires provide forklifts with good grip and stability, ensuring the safety and efficiency of forklifts when carrying heavy objects.

5. Battery vehicles

In factories, warehouses and other places, battery vehicles are commonly used means of transportation. These vehicles are usually equipped with industrial engineering tires to provide sufficient load-bearing capacity and driving stability.

6. Flatbed Trucks

Flatbed trucks are important tools for transporting large goods or equipment, and their tires need to have high load-bearing capacity and good wear resistance. Industrial engineering tires can meet these requirements and ensure the safety and reliability of flatbed trucks during transportation.

7. Agricultural Machinery

Although agricultural tires are usually classified as another category, industrial engineering tires are also used for certain types of agricultural machinery (such as forestry machinery). These tires need to be able to adapt to complex terrain and working environments.

8. Construction Machinery

On construction sites, industrial engineering tires also play an important role. They are installed on various construction machinery such as cranes, mixer trucks, etc. to provide stable support and mobility.

9. Other special occasions

Underground mining tires: The application environment conditions are extremely harsh, and ultra-thick smooth tires are often selected.

Mobile crane tires (high-speed engineering tires): Compared with traditional engineering tires, their speed can reach 80 to 90 kilometers per hour, high-speed driving and excellent heat dissipation performance.

Desert tires: Mainly used for oil exploration and seismic exploration vehicles in desert operations. They have excellent passability and buoyancy, and can easily cope with the harsh environment of deserts and Gobi.
